Title: AN ACT TO AMEND SECTION 43-17-5, MISSISSIPPI CODE OF 1972, TO PROVIDE THAT THE DEPARTMENT OF HUMAN SERVICES SHALL PROVIDE CHILD CARE AND TRANSPORTATION FOR PARTICIPANTS IN THE TEMPORARY ASSISTANCE FOR NEEDY FAMILIES (TANF) PROGRAM; TO PROVIDE THAT TANF RECIPIENTS SHALL BE ELIGIBLE FOR TRANSITIONAL CHILD CARE ASSISTANCE FOR AS LONG AS THE FAMILY INCOME DOES NOT EXCEED 200% OF THE FEDERAL POVERTY LEVEL; TO DIRECT THE DEPARTMENT OF HUMAN SERVICES TO APPLY FOR AND DRAW DOWN ALL AVAILABLE FEDERAL FUNDS FOR CHILD CARE SERVICES; TO AUTHORIZE A STATE GENERAL FUND MATCH OF FEDERAL FUNDS TO PROVIDE OR EXPAND CHILD CARE SERVICES TO ELIGIBLE PARTICIPANTS; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES.
